Our Mission

Culturacare’s mission is to nurture the prosperity of behavioral healthcare practitioners and the communities they live in. Our mission not only uplifts individuals but also drives systemic change. By eliminating disparities and fostering well-being, we pave the way for improved mental health and greater equity within our communities.

Founding Story

At Culturacare Management Services, our story isn’t just about seeing a gap in the Los Angeles healthcare business industry; it's about experiencing it firsthand and deciding to bridge it. Imagine being in a healthcare system where your language, culture, identity, and abilities are more than just boxes to tick—they’re vital pieces of healing and recovery. That’s where we started.

Our founders, a group of healthcare professionals as diverse as the communities they served, were on the front lines, witnessing a reality where the system wasn't just missing the mark, it was often creating larger gaps. It wasn't merely about language barriers making things tough or providers triggering people with lived experience; it was about serious risks—misdiagnoses, untreated conditions, incarceration, potentially life-threatening situations—all because the system lacked real understanding.

We saw it happen too often: vital health information lost in translation, leading to misdiagnosis; cultural nuances overlooked, resulting in ineffective treatments or patient disengagement. And it wasn’t just the patients; as practitioners, we were part of the same system where we worked where long hours and insufficient pay were the norms, a system that didn’t reflect us or our communities.

In reimagining the healthcare management landscape, our focus remains grounded in collaboration and community. We're here to support those who dedicate their lives to caring for others, helping them create sustainable practices that can be their legacy.
